About Me

About My Work:

I am working with Commonwealth Youth Programme: Asia Centre as an IT Intern in Information Technology Section,handling a project " ICT's in Rural Sectors" which basically involved in spreading ICT to deprived rural,slum youth.

Besides Commonwealth , I am also working for another project "Compaign for Peace in City Chandigarh" with a Local NGO named " Yuvsatta"
in Chandiagrh .This project involves taking and organising workshops for teachers and program co ordinators of educational institutions.

About My Education:

I have done my Bachelor in Arts from Panjab University , Chandiagrh and also Advance Diploma in IT from Centre of Electronic Design and Technology of India,Mohali.

I am currently pursuing Masters in Computers Applications from IGNOU.

My Hobbies:

1. Photography with Nature eg. Sunset,Sunrise,Mountains and River side.
2. Travelling on scooter/bike in valleys, mountains and country side locations especially solitary places.
3. Reading and writing Poetry in Hindi And English.
4. Writing Critically on social and cross cutting themes/issues.
5. Visiting and working in slums with friends.

Workshop Attended:

1. Attented a youth workshop on The UN's International Youth Day organised by Commonwealth in Aug2003.
2.Attended a workshop with NSS and Govt Model School Chandiagrh organized by NSS Regional Office in Jan2004.
3.Attended aworkshop in IT in Indian Science Congress,January 2004.
4.Attended a Training Programme for Trianers for the promotion of Culture of Peace and Non Violence organized by Srijan Peace Education, Dev Samaj College of Education, NSS Regional Centre, Chd, Indian Council of Gandhian Studies and Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti,New Delhi in MAy 2004.
