 About Me |
Studying biology and sociology at the University of Toronto, Sherryn seeks to share in the worldwide commitment to improving health, recognizing its relationship to society. She has presented at the First International Conference on women's heart health, written proposals addressing the digital divide for women in the developing world, and helped organize a family violence prevention conference with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research in Women's Health. Sherryn believes in inspiring, informing and involving youth to make a difference: her experiences at Shad Valley Calgary, a program for high-achieving Canadian students, inspired her to create a conference for female empowerment. Among other activities, she has facilitated programs for girls and technology such as Girls Are IT, teaches conflict resolution to children, creating peaceful communities and thus a peaceful world, and is currently singing/songwriting a benefit CD for War Child Canada.
