Greetings & salutations
My name translated in Saulteux means sees straight.
Althought I am no longer a youth, have 3 children who made me a grandmother of 6 little warriors!!
As an Aboriginal Life Skills Coach I hold Aboriginal knowledge workshops in a 'circle' setting to allow freeflowing dialogue. I am a Bill C31; child of the 60's scoop and married to a residential school survivor of 11 years. Its kinda like a Coke woman being married to a Pepsi Man. Life is interesting.
I have been involved with many committies and organizations who have had youth initiatives. Presently I am sitting with the Multicultural Council of SK committee of interest.
In talling with the Aboriginal youth coordinator of Creating Local Connections in SK, I shared with her that the youth only have to believe in their voice and speak it. Our people need to focus on the path of the next 7 generations and what that will look like for all of Canada and the world.
