Scott Beale is a 28-year-old activist, author and speaker about the politics of the Millennial Generation. He is the founder of Millennial Politics.com, an on-line community that educates and motivates people about youth activism and he is the Mid Atlantic Director of Youth Venture, a national non-profit organization that empowers young people to give back to their community. He recently published a book on youth activism, titled Millennial Manifesto.
For ten years Scott has been a vocal advocate for his generation and politically active on the local, state, national and international arenas. He has run the campaigns of students to get elected to the local government; he has represented Governors and written policy positions for the National Governors’ Association; he has served in the White House as the Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs; and he worked in Mostar, Bosnia as the youngest ever Core Supervisor with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
In addition to his deep political background, Scott has been involved with most of the youth activist movements since he organized rallies against the Contract for America at the U.S. Capitol in 1994 as a freshman at Georgetown University. He has worked with dozens of youth organizations including Rock the Vote, Youth Vote, the 2030 Center and United Leaders.
He has spoken about youth activism in the U.S. Capitol, at the White House, to the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, to the National Young Leaders Conference, to Close Up, and to numerous high schools and colleges including Georgetown University, Harvard University, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Virginia, Princeton University, Villanova University and the University of Minnesota, and many more.
