About Me |
A passion of mine is to collaborate with Wilmington's sister cities and community organizations to provide educational opportunities about other cultures, people and places. SCAW programs include internationally focused arts events, K-12 and post -secondary teacher/student exchange programs, lectures and presentations, and facilitating dialogues between business professionals.
My idea of a good time is to arrive in a new place that takes me outside of my comfort zone - where I am unfamiliar with the language, culture and customs of the people.
My pet peeve is too many people feel qualified to do a critical analysis of foreign, environmental and social policies based on what the main stream media reports in their locality. Our humanity is what brings us together, the absence of true knowledge is what keeps us apart.
My favorite word is ability -- when used in the context of loving, learning, and doing.
My professional background is in business and finance though I began my studies as a fine arts student.
