Over Mij

I am among the extroverts of my time and fits extremely well into almost every developmental activity; My quest for knowledge is founded upon a deep need to serve, driven by a need to achieve and pursue ideas that sharpen ones ability with excellent competence and knowledge in solving problems; Both in work and in the Community, I demonstrates high leadership qualities with highly motivated interpersonal skills and the ability to cope and work with anyone in times of pressures and happy moments; My even disposition exhibits calm and patience whenever ta situation(s) demands it.

I plan effectively and carries out my plans to fruition; I take responsibility of my own decisions and respects others with their opinions; I had an impeccable character, being pleasant, polite, cooperative, tolerant and extremely trustworthy; I have been a positive influence amongst my contemporaries in all fields of Academic and works and is well taken by all; I think reasonably and takes my time to arrive at a conclusion; I am also a good judge of character with outstanding self - confidence and esteem serving as one of my utmost leadership qualities.

During my school days, I (Baboucarr) manifested great maturity and responsibility in executing my duties as Senior Prefect, Deputy Vice-President of the Nusrat Prefectorial Council, Secretary General of the Commerce and Press Clubs and Ahmadiyya Muslim Schools -Gambia Chapter; my inevitible Academic records still exist.

While in Youth Development: I have transformed YAAN from unprofessional suburb functioning to the full establishment of a Secretariat with two appointed staff and fifteen Peer Health Educators in its last concluded six-months HIV/AIDS Capacity Building Training Programme with the National AIDS Secretariat 2005 - 2006; In addition to this, I have created and founded Youth in Development - a renowned Youth Organisation responsive to all developmental quests; I have also served at the Kanifing Municipal Youth Committee (KMYC) as its Secretary General and government employee then overseeing all youth activities within the Kanifing Municipality ( the cohort and residence of professional youth work in the Gambia) in which doubts and fear have transformed to ventures of youth interest and development; My hard work has easily earned me of recent, to be the Gambia’s Commonwealth Youth Representative at the Commonwealth Regional Youth Caucus for Africa in the next two years (2007-2009).

Well, I can be physically measured in few centimeters but my mildness and mind to work has trenched to millions of miles away. This has simply earned me significant achievements and therfore genieuing enogh to reward me as a fundamental pillar that have contributed to the bridging of Youth and Development. not only in the Gambia but to the wider world.

Important to note in all this significant achievenments is hardwork, commitment and dedication to my dreams. this is equally premised on the adage of tolerance, respect and consultation.

In my spare time, I love playing football and reading current affairs as related to research in great deal. My hobbies includes: reading of Novels, listening to news, visiting friends and watching documentaries.

I am sombody who loves success and hate laziness.
