Over Mij

I am Owen S Collins-Cole the coordinator of Sinnava Literacy&Skills Training Centre.Situated at the upper Tengbeh Town Community Wilberforce Area, We train Youths,War-widows,former Youth Figthers, in Basic Skills (i.e. tailoring,'t'shirt screening,Home Decorations,Gara tye-dyeing.), computer skills(ICT's programme)Adult Literacy prog and after school academic lessons.
The WORLD HEALTH ORG(WHO)funded us to rehab the whole old building,the provision of furniture for teaching purpose.
Because of my belief that education can end poverty and change the world i have galvanise youths(girls&boys)to come in youth org,footballing(soccer)one strategy is if youwant to join the SINNAVA FC,you be educated and it worked illeterate youth who never like schooling are now eger to attend basic skills and adult literacy classes some are even asking to be enrolled into formal education and lots more...
One of our objective is Education for all and I am dedicated for to work so that poverty will be history.
I am a student from Fourah Bay College,was reading Physics, Mathematics and Micro-computer,I decided to help in poverty after seeing the near to gutter situation my fellow country men&women are living in,its really seekening to see so I approch the (WHO)world rep in Sierra Leone Dr J Saweka,and it was Good,
What are you developmental Org doing? this is a health Org helping in developmental issues.
I have now aproached,Actionaid S/L WADA branch,Goal S/L but no funding for our community lead initiatives and currently voluntary work with N.M.J.D. on the PRSP process on community awareness raising on the PRSP in the whole of western area.
