HI! My name is Sakya Calsoyas, I am a native american, I have been appointed the Navajo Nation Youth Ambassador to the United Nations by the Navajo Nation President Dr. Joe Shirley Jr.
It is my belief that I am living in an ever changing world, filled with human neglect and irresponsibility. I am willing to work to bring the needs of change that this world desperately needs. I have travelled to many parts of the world and have seen and experienced different cultural identities which I greatly admire. These encounters have revealed many similarities in how humanity struggles with life.
Since I am of mixed heritages being half Navajo and half Greek, I believe that my perceptions of our world are unbiased in nature and free of racial and social prejudice, because I have nothing to gain from allowing my self to lower my character for self gratification, in other words, I don't enjoy putting others down. I believe that everyone has the capability and direct responsibility to improve the world around us, not just humanity but the entire system of life around us. I strongly feel that my input in world affairs would be extremely helpful to the many global problems that my generation has and will continue to inherit. I ask you, the reader of my message, to help in taking action against injustice and destruction that humanity bestows upon it's self...it is our future that is in our hands...
