In kibera;the invaluable talents of the youths'the limited school and vocational oppotunities,the diminishing employment trainning opportunities.The challenges caused by the proliferation of drug abuse,the HivAids pandemic,gender inequlity,socio-economic hardships and other incessant rendered us the youth vulnerable. This saw the birth of AMUKA which in swahili denotes WAKE meaning we calling for a wake-up call so that we can collectiveliy advance the understanding of the community on scourges that affect us by providing a forum that enables the community to enhance own-selves,develop strategies of prevention and collectively finding solution to social phenomena objectively. AMUKA PROGRAMMES 1.Advocacy/Culture 2.Poverty eradication 3.Environment management 4.children,girls and women participatory development 6.Computers 7.Sports PRINCIPLES 1.Amuka is based on principle of honest and trustworthy 2.Efficiency and perfectness in whichever endeavor undertaken.
