 About Me |
Edwin is a native of Ironton, Missouri. A 1995 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School he went on to earn an A.A. at Mineral Area College in 1997, and completed undergraduate degrees at Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. He received his master of science in administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. Edwin has a strong background in both the hospitality sector working for companies such as Marriott and Disney as well as the non-profit sector with organizations such at Do Something Inc. and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. He served in the United States Peace Corps from 2004-2005 as a Youth and Community Development Volunteer. Among his many projects in the Peace Corps he advised local governments throughout the country, as well as coaching Special Olympics athletes. Blanton founded Ready, Willing...Enable! in 2006, along with Jennifer Catron, whom he served with in the U.S. Peace Corps.
