 About Me |
I was among young journalists of World Youth Congress in Scotland in 2005, and being involved in this world platform for youth development and their inspiration to be the change played important role in developing my career. Soon after being back to my country together with my friends and professionals I found NGO Social Care International Organization (SOCIO) and we are working on social problems and striving to make life easier for vulnerable group of society sometimes skeptical of democracy values and longing for Soviet Times. We are working out projects in social, environmental, educational issues and keeping negotiations for gaining finances for their implementation. I am co-founder and PR Director for SOCIO. Besides I am currently employed as a PR Specialist at the leading oil company in my country Wissol Petroleum Georgia and I actively participate in different projects in Social Responsibility direction at my company. Before that I was an editor-in-chief of the Georgian Times English edition and the Georgian Business Week newspaper as well, and informing people about the political, social, economical, technological, business developments ongoing in the country, was my everyday duty. Holding position of PR Specialist at Wissol I contribute to the promotion of the company brand, its product and community activities as my editorial, managerial and journalistic experience, strong writing and analytical skills, experience in organizing meetings, cultural and social events is a strong background for that. Besides I am doing my Masters in Public Administration at Zurab Zhvania Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) in Tbilisi working for the diploma with the theme of need of information exchange between the Government, Parliament, regional government, media, non governmental organization and people at large. So I would gladly attend the congress and share my experience and get advises over the themes I am working and I am interested in as being the citizen of a developing country with sweeping political changes in short periods of history.
