Brian Rushton Phillips [born April 19, 1972], is a German-Canadian conceptual artist. His work ranges from graphic illustrations and photographs, to mixed media and sculptural interpretations of the 21st century media landscape. Through processes of dissection, reconstruction, juxtaposition, rebranding and satire, Rushton Phillips alters our milieu, through a critical and redefined palette of iconography.The projects are metaphors for the social dilemmas facing our existence and predominantly involve the documentation and analysis of celebrity, economics, politics and religion.
