About me
My name's Laurence, I live in Montreal, Canada. I'm currently studying in natural sciences at College Lionel-Groulx, on my way to become an anaesthetist.
Eventually, I would like to travel around the world, and discover the different cultures and lifestyles which coexist with our. I think it's important to understand the populations around us, or else, we couldn't respect them accordingly.
Daily, I receive the newspaper describing regrettable events which occurred in the last past days in the world. Most of them illustrate about civil war, famine, disease fever or poor health issues, and all of these problems never seem to improve; instead, they deteriorate. While reading about it, I'm just wondering how come the higher levelled organisations such as the government and the military can't find the necessary funds to send to foundations which could use them to achieve their humanitarian projects. Every kind of help cans make a difference in the life of millions of people; even a single cloth could become a refuge for a little child as a shelter is towards a homeless person. Money isn't the only way to demonstrate our care towards the lesser developed countries, it helps of course, but it's not inevitable. Poverty is an international problem that can't be solved without everyone's consideration and implication.
Many health care programs exist to establish a firm and vigorous community in underprivileged countries. However, their hard work alone isn't enough, is it? That is why the citizens must contribute to the world's cultural and economical issues. People's knowledge must expand in an overall way as well as their money's image. Life is more than a wallet, and many valuable values can't be reached with simple coins.
