1. assist and complement the works of other GO's and NGO's on youths related issues in anyway we can. 2. promote world peace and international co-operation. 3. and support local talents;comedians,musicians etc by placing them alongside international artistes in our series of events. Our Mission Very soon,we will be staging concerts that will be driving home a point,"....that AIDS is real,it is in Africa and that it kills."First,we intend to reach out to high school and college students using the print media.We would go a step futher by inviting eminent scholars form institutions of higher learning to come shd more light on concerned issues and provide answers to seemingly difficult and frequently asked but unanswered questions. Our first point of focus will be,"youths and alcohol in a sexually active Africa."Our aim is to discourage alcohol drinking among youths and adults alike as most unprotected sexual activities happenunder the influence of alcohol.We are not implying that all drunks are positive but we feel they soon may be if absolute care is not taken. Truly, the number is high and still rising.It will be wise for one to strive to know ones HIV status.Yes,most Africans still do not know thier HIV status as confirmed positivity comes abreast societal stigma which everyone fears to face.We hope to change all that and encourage everyone to go for an HIV screening. We will be soliciting for help from idividuals and coporate bodies for assistance.....and work with other institution/organisations in Africa and the world over as we can't do it all alone. The Res"Q" Ranjazz family is dedicated to fighting the spread of AIDS/HIV across the African continent. All its actions and activities must pursue this goal. The organisation does not seek to make any profit or financial gain for the benefit of itself or any of its members. The primary goal of the Res"Q" Ranjazz family is to contribute to the fight against the AIDS/HIV pandemic in Africa. We intend to do this by pursuing a number of secondary objectives:- a) Fundraising Asides technical and financial support from our sponsors,the musical tours would be used to raise as much sponsorship money as possible,The Res"Q" Ranjazz family recognises the vital necessity of each of its projects to raise significantly more money in sponsorship than the simple cost of the project, in order to justify the specific activity. b) Local Awareness of AIDS/HIV in Africa the Res"Q" Ranjazz family's activities will provide a mechanism for spreading important AIDS/HIV related information and the distribution of literature in ways aimed at capturing the imagination of the local African audience. The Res"Q" Ranjazz family would work in close partnership with suitable, locally based organisations in order to make the best use of its activities. The local interest generated by our concrts and other "edutaining" musical events can be used by NGOs as focal events to generate increased awareness of AIDS/HIV projects and their key messages. These activities could also be used to distribute literature and other informative tools.The Res"Q" Ranjazz family would also be in a position to courier such literature and tools from the UK to remote areas within Africa. c) US/UK Awareness of the AIDS/HIV situation in Africa: The huge popularity of music as a global language will again help to raise the profile of the organisation and therefore the AIDS/HIV issues about which it is campaigning. The organisation would aim to generate, where possible, national and international media interest in its activities and use the heightened profile that this would create to increase the general awareness of the African AIDS/HIV pandemic. This in turn would also increase the fund raising capacity of the organisation. The organisation will look to well known music personalities, and other celebrities to endorse its activities and therefore raise the profile of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa and beyond. The organisation will also aim to produce, commission or otherwise generate books and television and/or video documentaries covering its activities
