arrived in the fall of 2000, the year I finished high-school in Venezuela. I came through an exchange program, where I arrived at a house of a canadian family, with nobody going to my house in Venezuela. The idea was that I would learn how to speak english, learn to have the so called 'responsabilities' that my dad so much spoke of, learn to be by myself, not to be so spoiled, etc, etc. I got all that, along with some truly amazing experiences. I did an extra year of high school, graduated; went to college for a 1year certificate for Media Foundations, graduated; went to college (2 years) again for Multimedia Diploma. A year before I graduated college for the last time, I spent a summer learning PHP cuz I was bored to death, and with that skill I ended up getting an intership here at TIG in the winter of 2004. At the time, I had never heard of TakingITGlobal.
When I graduated college, (4 years after I had arrived in Canada) I had just turned 21 and I was out looking for a job (cuz by now I was out in the 'real world'). TIG hired me as part of their Tech Team. TIG has been the most amazing experience so far that life has thrown me. I get to work in an enviroment I love, I get to do work that I truly enjoy, and I got to make amazing friends, along with meeting dozens of people.
