 About Me |
I am the author of 'YOUNG AFRICA - Policy Blueprint for a Continent of Youth' and the initiator of AFAYA - Association For A Young Africa. In 2002 I committed the next 10 years of my life to working with others to help create an enabling environment so that every young person in Africa can fulfil his or her potential. In 2003 I became a trustee of the non-profit organization, the Themba Trust, which aims at providing quality education to especially children from poor homes in South Africa. Since 2007 I have been the Chief Executive Officer of this organization. Also in 2007 I launched an own business named ITEA Investments (Pty) Ltd which aims at using a business approach to uplifting youth, especially in Africa, but hopefully one day also worldwide. I describe myself as a social entrepreneur, an author and publisher.
