 About Me |
Hey there! I'm Samantha and I'm a Noosan. I am 16 and attend St Teresa's Catholic College which is a secondary school in Queensland, Australia.
My main interests are in the many areas of social justice and I'm passionate about helping my hometown to become more accepting of other cultures and religions.
I am also enthusiastic about raising awareness about the deaf community and will possibly pursue a career in teaching AUSLAN.
Eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia are a huge problem in our society, and I myself have suffered from an eating disorder. I feel strongly about working towards a more accepting society where young people in particular are rewarded for their achievements and character rather than their physical appearance. We need to work towards a society which teaches youth that imperfection is okay, and that we are all beautiful regardless of our appearance or social status.
