Rayonne has demonstrated significant expertise in the area of research and training with the development of practical conflict resolution , leadership studies and strategic project management programs and the design and establishment of the HIV/AIDS Research Centre where under his leadership a comprehensive training and research program is managed through the Centre and also apart of the University's curriculum. He is presently active on the Scientific Program Committee - Track E of the International Aids Society and Cross Cutting Themes Team in preparation for the IAC2008 in Mexico City and a member of the Main Conference Sub Committee of the Mexico Youth Force . Rayonne earned his BA in Peace & International Development from the American University of Peace Studies in 2003. Prior to joining American University he was active in youth programming at GuyberNet - a sustainable development training centre and then moved on to an Executive member appointment at the United Nations Associations of Guyana, chairing the committee on Youth and Education. He served this committee for 2 years. Rayonne was born in Kitty, north within the Capital city Georgetown of the republic of Guyana. He is also engaged in planning and the representation of youth led activities in Guyana; training school drop outs and street children via youth clubs and children shelters on human rights issues as part of his voluntary work at the community level. Rayonne recently participated in the Caribbean Youth Dialogue towards developing the regional response on HIV/AIDS within the Caribbean followed by the IAS 2006 Conference in Toronto, Canada. Rayonne was recently completed a one year tenure as Regional Focal Point of the Caribbean region at GYCA – Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS where he interpreted, develop and expand on the agenda of GYCA both in the region and at the international level representing the youth constituencies and general public. Rayonne will be co-chairing a oral abstract session ( Global Monies- International Assistance and Funding Mechanisms) at the IAC2008 Mexico City. He is an ambitious, steadfast and a responsible young man, working towards the development of humanity through his committed efforts to youth development; encourage and promoting youth participation and positive sustainability .
