About Me |
I am a Yale student from the Boston area. I love the outdoors, the beach, bonfires, and amazing Ecuadorian coastal food (...ah chifles and patacones). Together with a group of students from Yale University, Skidmore College, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Claremont McKenna among others, we've managed to combine many of these loves into a project with the Ecuadorian coastal town of Puerto Cayo. I work with this group of students and Oscar Pihuave, president of the Junta Parroquial Puerto Cayo to organize 8 week summer and 2 week winter break trips to Puerto Cayo. Our work focuses on the development of eco-tourism in Puerto Cayo and efforts to protect the rapidly disappearing tropical dry forest ecosystems in the area.
