 About Me |
Hi! I am a new summer intern with TIG working in the Multilingual department. I'm really interested in languages and the relationship between language and culture, so I'm very excited about my position here!
A little about me - My mission is to gain as much life experience as possible, by never letting opportunities slip away, by taking risks and challenging myself, and by traveling as much as I can.
I'm an English major student at the University of British Columbia. I read everything, but my favourite genres are historical fiction and contemporary fiction that deals with current social issues.
In my free time this summer I'm also studying Mandarin Chinese, getting seriously into salsa dancing, and learning (quite hopelessly) how to play tennis.
I also volunteer as an editor and marketing assistant for a small Canadian book publishing company.
I'm really looking forward to channelling a ton of energy into working with TIG. Should be a great summer!
