Rachel Arinii Judhistari, 22 years old is an active youth advocate from Jakarta, Indonesia. For about 6 years, she’s been contributing to youth activism in the issue of SRHR, HIV&AIDS, Gender and Disaster Management.
She’s the founder of the only youth led organization focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Indonesia. the organization, Independent Youth Alliance(Aliansi Remaja Independen) is working national based in promoting the rights of marginalized young people. For a year, she’s leading Red Cross HIV&AIDS programme which mainstreaming gender and humanitarian issues in HIV&AIDS programme. She’s also appointed as United Nations Population Funds(UNFPA) Youth Advisory Panel.
On International level, Rachel meaningfully involve by representing Asia Pacific youth ON United Nations General Assembly session on HIV&AIDS(UNGASS), Global NGO Forum (review for ICPD), and CSW session (review for CEDAW).
Rachel successfully initiate and leading Bali Youth Force. The first youth force in the largest AIDS Congress in Asia and Pacific (ICAAP 9). The Bali Youth force become the leading youth task force which enable young people from Asia and Pacific to meaningfully participate on ICAAP.
Rachel also leading a breakthrough advocacy project on Asia Pacific Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (APCRSHR) as the coordinator for Commitment Desk allies with Asia Pacific Alliance and IPPF.
Rachel currently working in the Asian pacific Research and Resource Centre for Women (ARROW) as the youngest programme officer; on HIV/AIDS and youth programme across 7 country in South East Asia
