About Me

29 years, passionate Environmental Scientist by profession, worked as a researcher/ policy analyst with the best organization in India. Determined to work on unemployment issue and help create employment for every poor in a sustainable way. The areas of work include energy and environment with special emphasis on rural energy issues and poverty reduction, watershed management, water, sanitation and health issues, Remote sensing and GIS, rural livelihood system, social entrepreneurship, forest and biodiversity conservation. Pramod understands that ‘no one would come foreword to protect environment until and unless they see some incentives in doing that, therefore he strongly support and work in the area of ‘social entrepreneurship’, where he work with the idea of creating job opportunity in environment-development projects with entrepreneurship angle.

He has a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences from Bangalore, India and since then been working research institutes and NGOS such as Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, FRLHT, Bangalore and Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. He is alos associated with many NGOs and advocacy group in various capacities.

As a result he played instrumental role in founding APWS (NGO in Maharastara) and Indian Young Professional's Foundation (IYPF), Mumbai India. He also serves as founder member-secretary to APWS and as Executive Director to the IYPF, Mumbai. He knows that preaching is not the way he follow; therefore, he practices whatever is said and he already stared setting up entrepreneurship firms, which would take up anything from initiating chain of restaurants, food processing, tourism to manufacturing of eco-friendly products and research and service consultancy.

Writing, painting, music are his hobbies. He wrote many research papers and hold membership to many professional bodies.
