About Me |
I am 63 years old. I have witnessed at first hand and at working level the destruction of an orderly society, to be replaced by unbridled capitalism that impoverishes the whole world and is the root cause of discontent throughout the world. I was a greengrocer until I was 46 years old. Long hours, hard work, but quite fulfilling. Collusion between Big Business and Government ensured that the population would become consumers and ensured the demise of all small business. So much so that 140,000 small grocers, within walking distance of the population are replaced with 5 Global companies. Local fruits and vegetables were banned by EU law, so even were the scales we weighed goods on. Now 30 years later, the mass of the population cannot afford healthy eating, the inventive brain function of our children has fallen from 14 years to 12 years, impotency and malformed penises in the male population has doubled. All fish caught at the mouth of the main rivers are hermaphroditic. There are real financial incentives for the well-off not to have children or to have then later in life. So each year abortions increase. I have in the last 17 years been awarded three degrees, but I cannot get any form of employment, because jobs do not exist. If I write to newspapers to give give researched facts on environmental matters my letters will not be published. Instead I have embarked on writing a novel set in 2020. My nephew is a wizard on the computer and says that I can always publish it on the net. The novel must be interesting but is based on real facts. One character was a Cree RCMP Officer so I needed to check my facts, hence arriving at this site and the most erudite Narkha, thank you. I was awarded a Millennium Scholarship in 2000 and visited the Victorian Rainforests. My wife and I visited an aboriginal spiritual site with cave paintings about 10,000 years old. There and at an aboriginal site near Healesville, and an aboriginal art centre in Melbourne, we never saw or met an indigenous person. In my research I have learnt that both first nation Americans and Buddhists share beliefs of God, nature then mankind, and that there were four peoples, four directions. If there is anyone who can enlighten me about the similarity of beliefs beteen ancient civilisations which pre-date christianity by at least 4,000 years I would be grateful. I must get back to writing, but thank you for any information.
