 About Me |
Nomvula Mathse holds an honours degree in psychology with major in trauma psychology from the Midrand University in South Africa. She has a passion for youth and has extensive volunteer experience working with children and young people who are survivors of sexual abuse, particularly on gender based violence counselling and court preparation. Nomvula has been engaged as a volunteer for the Transnet Phelophepa (Saving Lives) Healthcare Train doing community outreach service, Life skills and HIV/AIDS education and counselling. Further she has participated in the Future Leaders Initiative by Love Life, South Africa's largest national HIV prevention initiative for young people which support programmes to promote healthy, HIV-free living among young people. Other contributions include Prison workshops on life skills, anger management and substance abuse. She is currently in the UNFPA Special Youth Fellowship Program, working on policy development, SRH and HIV in the Swaziland country office. She likes reading, making friends, poetry and basketball.
