WORK EXPERIENCE

1. Position: Assistant Manager Programs in SEHER
Duration: July 2003 to date

Major Responsibilities:

 Assist field manager in SEHER to develop annual action plan for the projects.
 Liaise with field manager and social organizer, for feed back and support in implementation of the project
 Co-ordinate with Govt. Department, NGOs, and others stake-holders, for feed back and support
 Monitor project activities, review with social organizer/community group, and writing quarterly report, for the organization.
 Developing research instruments.
 Finalize reports of all projects and submit to the Manager Programs

2. Position: Research Analyst in Women Political Participation Project (W3P)
Duration: November 2002 to June 2003
Area of Work: Zhob, Pishin, Loralai, Sibi, Dera Allah Yar, Lasbella, Dalbandin, and Noshki.

Major Responsibilities:

 Developing research instruments
 Leading field team, in collecting data
 Monitoring quality of field information
 Analyzing data and report writing
 Monitoring of the training sessions (Delivery and content quality and quantity)

3. Position: Assistant Coordinator in Action Research and Training (ART) Cell Society for Community Support for Primary Education in Balochistan (SCSPEB).

* I Performed as Program Associate in Action Research and Training (ART) Cell of the organization. My prime responsibility was to extend my support to the master trainers; researchers teams, to design strategic as well as operational planning, to assist the coordinator in cost controlling and linkages development with line departments and stakeholders

Urdu Word Processing (In Page, Kaatib and Raakim), Graphics (Instant Artist). I have a good working knowledge of computer software and have been using computers for information processing, management and presentation for many years.

RESEARCH SKILLS

I have been involved in many research projects at the Action Research and Training (ART) Cell in SCSPEB. While conducting participatory action research studies, I went through many training exercises about research methodologies and the design of research instruments by the Coordinator and researchers of the ART Cell and by experts from other research and education institutions. I can manage data and process information using computer software.

WORKSHOPS and TRAINING CONDUCTED:

During my tenure at Society for Community Support for Primary Education in Balochistan (SCSPEB), Society for Empowering Human Resources (SEHER) and Women Political Participation Project (W3P) I have been involved in organizing and assisting the concerned stakeholders for the successful completion of workshops mostly related to training needs of grassroots level activists and community workers and also community development workers from different Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community based Organizations (CBOs). Some of them are listed below:

i) Local networking workshops in Kalat District.
ii) Organized training courses for Local NGOs (SCOPE, LAFAM, RCDC) to build their capacity as activist NGOs.
iii) Organized three phases training for Local NGOs in Kalat Division (Bela, Uthal, Hub,) Naseer
Abad Division and Makran Division (Gawadar).
iv) Conducted two days training on the “Understanding Responsibilities Leadership Self-help and Decision Making Skills” (URLSD) for Village Development Committees in cluster at Kalat, Dashat-e-Gohran under FDP Program.

I have also participated in a number of short-term training courses in the past few years. Most of these are related to capacity building, skill enhancement and community development theory and practice.

v- Executive Secretary Course training organized by Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) Lahore.
vi- Managerial skill training, organized by Tahir & Associate.
vii- Managerial training for management & staff capacity building 1st & 2nd phases by Tahir & Associate.
viii- Basic Organizational Management Training (BOMT) 1st & 2nd phases by SCSPEB.
ix- How to use Internet and email conducted by IDSP and SDNPK. (1st phase).
x- Training on “How to observe training session according to Research tools” women political project (W3P)

INTERESTS AND HOBBIES

I am interested in development and environmental issues and also the socio-political imperatives that they imply especially in the context of a developing region like Balochistan. During the past 10 I have been engaged with Civil Society in different capacities and having traveled extensively (interior) throughout Balochistan. I have accumulated substantial experience as well as interest in social and environmental issues and want to hone my skills and broaden my knowledge base in the future. I take interest in socio-cultural issues and I am fond of playing squash, cricket and listening to music.

I am pioneer member of the “National Network for Missing and Exploited Children (NNMEC) in Pakistan”.
