OSi is best described as an ever-smiling young man who seems to take no care of the world around, yet he is one of the tireless student-leaders in the university -always present when and where students' issues and concerns are in-focus. OSi's participation in student-admin dialogues, projects conception-to-implementation, and charter/policy reviews have led to a number of progressive results relevant to the 3,000 plus dormitory residents of whom he is chairperson. Recent exposure to the plights of out-of-school youths has led him to start volunteering for Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). His participation and activism is slowly moving (from the university) to a larger world of youth-related issues particularly youth/child labor, youth reproductive health, and women's and children's rights, hence his active involvement with The Red Cross Youth, Women's Health Care Foundation, 3RG Philippines, and NAMFREL (National Movement for Free Elections). As has been, OSi believes in the power of the youth and is in the forefront of promoting the idea that children and the youth should never suffer, be treated with dignity and respect, and be given opportunity to be self sufficient (at the very least) and affect the world for the better. True to the belief that leaders are restless and are never satisfied, OSi is seeking new ways to contribue to society and is looking forward to spend his life working to better the lives of people. OSi says: "Looking at reports and pictures of hungry, poverty-stricken, and war-torn people of Africa, Afghanistan and even near Mindanao pinches my soul and makes me ponder why people have to suffer. I feel helpless not to be there and give a comforting hug or even a pat to the back of people who keep life going..." "I am inspired by the things that need changing." "I am in the want to learn new things, always in the lookout to experience new ways, always willing to share... To live is to GIVE. I may be restless, I may be always on the move, I may be tired at the end of every day, but I'm living my life and I'm happy. I am so blessed and I'm thankful."
