The Organisation of Rural Primary Education Developers South Africa (herein after referred to as ORPED-SA) was founded in November 2004 with a vision to help cultivate among African youth the principles of leading in love and unity. On the 9th March 2005, ORPED-SA was registered with the Department of Social Development. It is to supplement the rural child’s formal education with a social form of education that would enable the rural child to create for himself, opportunities for his own personal development and the community’s.
