About Me

I finished university last year (2003). I went to University College Cork where I studied Computer Science and Economics. I loved university and I was sad when it was over but I have been keeping myself busy since then so its okay. The last few months have been very busy for me. I have just completed an internship on Capitol Hill in Washington DC and also during that time I was a delegate at the ITU WORLD 2003 Youth Forum in Geneva. I am very excited by the issue of bringing the power of ICT's to everbody, I am proud that Ireland is beginning to devote some of its bilateral aid specifically to this purpose. Although Ireland itself still has room for improving its own ICT infrastructure it is fair to say that many countries can hopefully emulate the success that we brought to our country by using ICT's as an enabler.

In my spare time I love to have travel. Mostly I like to go on activity holidays, like skiing or mountain climbing or diving. I love to meet new people from different cultures from all around the world. I enjoy listening to music and in particular like to see live performances, not only concerts but also musicals, theatre and sometimes comedy shows. I also read a lot, mostly the newspapers and non-fiction books in particular current affairs, philosophy and science.

Since I have just returned from my last job and was very busy, I am currently taking some time off. But soon I will be looking for a new opportunity. I will be moving to Dublin and I hope that my job will allow me to work to solve the Digital Divide. However, I may not get a job realistically in this field in which case I will be looking at some other part-time or voluntary opportunities.

I would love to meet people with the same interest as this.
