 About Me |
My name is Mark Okowa, 29 year old Kenyan. Project Officer for Environment Liaison Center International (ELCI), an International NGO based in Kenya.
I am also the GKP 2005 Youth and ICT award winner. As a result, I was offered a full scholarship to participate in the 2005 World Summit of the Information Society WSIS in Tunis where our awards were presented.
I am a Kabissa Web projects steering committee member with
responsibilities of assisting the Kabissa team in setting priorities, reviewing the work, and testing the new services they will be providing as a result of their new project, titled: "African Voices on the Internet".
I love social work because it gives me self satisfaction of having contributed to the improvement of the livelihood of our ouw people in their communities.
