Ulises Vázquez studied a Computer System Engineering BS at the Monterrey Technological Institute, Campus State of Mexico. He also studied a Diploma in “Organization management” in TEXAS A&M University. During his career he was president of the Computer Science Foundation. In this organization he developed Conferences and Forums to promote a new computer culture and created the First Videogame Forum in Mexico, marking a milestone because this was the first national event in this topic. In this event he achieved to be partner with companies such as Nintendo, Capcom, and Sega. Because of this he was elected president of the Association for Computing Machinery Chapter in Mexico. Ulises is founder of several Leadership Programs, such as the Eagle Program. Today this program has 300 young instructors and activities in 26 States of the Mexican Republic. He also was cofounder of the “Cuauhtli” Program, initiative whose main goal is to develop young changing agents in the community, sponsored by FEMSA Group -Coca Cola- through all Mexico. Ulises was proposed for the Student Activities’ Golden Ram Award and also the Entrepreneur’s at the Monterrey Technological Institute. In 1999 he won the Rookie of the Year in the Student in Free Enterprise International Contest (SIFE) in Kansas, USA, world wide organization aiming to foster an entrepreneur culture for youth. He also won the Third Place in the “North American College Entrepreneur Award” sponsored by the Saint Louis Missouri University. He participates as Chairman of the Board and founder of the GAIA Organization, A.C., NGO focused on the environment restoration and the development of a sustainable culture among the youth. This organization is in charge of the Mexico City’s Recycling Contest, coordinates different restoration and reforesting projects, organizes several conferences in colleges and is part of UNESCO’s CCIVS network. In alliance with this network GAIA support Mexican youngsters to participate in voluntary projects of social, cultural and environmental development in more than 60 different countries, and receives youth from all around the world in Mexico to participate in environmental projects with fauna. Ulises is a very recognized speaker in the Human Development and Leadership area and he had given speeches in all Mexico and abroad. In the newspapers and specialized media he has published several papers about technology, environment and human development. This success helps him to start other initiatives like the Mexican Chapter of the Youth Business International organization, founded by the Prince Charles of Wales. This organization gives funds, council, training and direction to young entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. He collaborated in the launch of the Youth Employment Summit, a campaign to create sustainable way of employment for the youth. Ulises was member of the MercadoLibre.com startup, company with presence in 9 Latin-American countries and the leader in auctions by internet in Latin America bought recently by Ebay. Using this experience he started ERGOS, a company specialized in online marketing where he helps international companies to take advantage of Internet to achieve their goals. In 2005 Ergos in representation of Buscape Brasil launched the first price comparison website in Mexico: buscape.com.mx which now manages the Yahoo shopping site and is the leader in price comparison in Latinamerica. Ergos as today is the performance marketing area in Mexico of .Fox, as it inheritated the strategic alliance with Digital Ventures, company bought by Fox in the last year. Furthermore Ergos has it's own network of media specialized in Direct Response, charging on a result basis to their customers instead of media spaces. Ergos has access to media of more than 1000 sites and is the leader in Direct Response in the region.
