About Me

Farafeena is an Eco-Tourism social entreprise to help people in Senegal through partnering with grass roots charities and NGO's overseas to develop interesting volunteering projects and exchange programs based on the requirements of the local communities. Therefore to promote positive impact tourism in Senegal farafeena will sell travel packages ( including accomodation, food and transport ) targeting individuals over 18 such as:
Students who are interested in volunteering in developing countries for their self-improvement or for a charitable reason.
Graduates that want to explore another culture and gain transferable skills.
Skilled professionals who want to escape modern western life,gain new travel experience and give back to a worthy cause.
Farafeena will operate online as it is an effective networking tool with a wider market and cheaper to operate. A shop section will be added to the website to promote young African artists and give them the opportunity to sell to a wider market.
As a social enterprise Farafeena will give 20% of its profit to a charity called “second souffle africain” www.secondsouffleafricain.org. Farafeena aim at creating a platform where young people around the globe will be able to exchange their “know-how”, support each other for worthy causes or find new business partners in the diaspora.
