About Me |
I am a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and will be majoring in architecture with a minor in Religious Studies. I enjoy music in all forms and admiring nature at all times.
Through my work at the University, I will be able to learn more about Urban Planning and Green Architecture. I will also be able to form a deeper connection with the architecture community and inspire myself and others to create more economically and ecologically sound communities which facilitate physical wellbeing. Through my designs I hope to create homes and communities, which would facilitate spiritual and emotional growth among its residents. I do not wish to merely create a big shiny structure if it has no meaning, no life, and provides no inspiration for its inhabitants.
I am currently indulging myself in two projects. One is dealing with sustainable development: its feasibility, implications, and a plan of action. The other project is to meld my studies of Architecture and Religious Studies. What makes a space spiritual, and what are the implications of spiritually conscious vs. non-spiritually concious design? I intend to delve deeper into the areas of architecture and spirituality, finding a more complex issue here to study. I will then take that issue a step further to international travel and further to a possible thesis topic for my graduate studies.
