About me
I am currently responsible for coordinating management of CT youth network and online forum, attracting member organisations, empowering creation of regional branches and initiatives and identifying funding opportunities. Please visit the website below if you want to join our active network, enter in partnership or provide financial/other support.
I am a Franco-English postgraduate with advanced international experience, at academic, professional and community level, having lived in England, France and Spain. As well as being bilingual in French-English, fluent in Spanish and knowledge of Catalan and German, I have developed and strengthened international contacts from the aforementioned countries but also from South America, Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
I am currently setting up a project website to provide information/expertise on funding for international initiatives/exchanges to promote European integration.
I have a deep interest in contributing to provide the impetus for developing and strengthening youth initiatives within the broader Mediterranean region.
I have set up and coordinated a variety of community initiatives through developing and leading partnerships to share best practice and ensure a joined-up vision. I have coordinated a major CNRS-Sorbonne research project. I also co-founded an Erasmus society to develop the integration of native and exchange students through cultural activities. This included extensive promotion, organisation of regular activities and the development of partnerships with university administration, local business and students.
Through study in various academic cultures up to an advanced level in public policy and international relations, I have been able to analyse the different approaches used in different contexts. This has given added value in identifying both problems and opportunities and putting forward fresh and relevant solutions for the improvements needed in the various organisations I have worked in.
I have translated this academic expertise into innovative and practical solutions in my experience in local government. Through my current role, I have developed a more effective coordination of support through performance monitoring, continuous evaluation of procedures and cross-cutting initiatives, as well as developing more transparent and integrated partnerships with external stakeholders. These improvements have notably contributed to the success of initiatives to ensure the most relevant customer care for specific categories of service users while maintaining a joined-up approach between the team’s priorities.
The necessity of effective understanding of private-public sector relationships was emphasised during my experience as a strategy/policy intern at the French public utility and leading global electricity company, EDF. I was responsible for administrating the communication and implementation of EDF’s international policy as well as drafting overviews of the energy sector and organising conferences.
My desire to understand, respect and empower customers has also been enhanced as a customer services advisor, a private languages tutor and as a senior resident.
