About me
Nelson Igunma is a nontraditional undergraduate student who is inspired to pursue social innovation in order to fulfill his goal of increasing the political and social capital of underserved and marginalized populations around the world. Nelson, whose parents are from Nigeria, was born and raised in New York. He has attended a Catholic school, a Quaker school, a progressive public school, a rural liberal arts college, a suburban liberal arts college, and an urban public university (yes, in that order) and is using his formative experiences to consider how to disrupt failed structures of mobility and opportunity and reconstruct them. When Nelson is not trying to catch up with his life by pursuing opportunities to challenge himself, he can be found reading, writing, commuting, and sleeping.
