About Me

Ph.D. Architectural History and Theory, M.A. in Museum Studies and B.A. in Classical Archaeology. Has worked at the Yildiz Technical University, Museum Studies Graduate Program since 1999.

Interned at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums and the J. Paul Getty Museum, Department of Antiquities, Curatorial. Attended excavations in Anatolia and have consulted on the implementation of various museum projects in Turkey. Carried out a pilot project with her colleague on seismic conservation in Istanbul museums with the support of the ProVention Consortium in 2003.

Participated in a number of courses and trainings on disaster management, emergency planning, earthquake mitigation and risk management in China, Greece, Italy, U.S.A and Turkey. Have given lectures to Turkish museum professionals on risk management besides writing articles as well as presenting papers in the related topic.
