About Me   About Me
I fulfilled my Masters in Computer Science from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand in 2005. Before that I completed my Bachelors in Computer Science from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2003.

I am responsible for writing, editing, and coordination of proposals, request letters, and other marketing materials to support development efforts especially for the Golden Jubilee Fundraising Campaign (GJFC). Writing and delivering responses to Governments, Corporations, INGOs and NGOs, Private Sector and targeted Philanthropists of the GJFC. Editing quarterly and annual reports and other important documents for grammar, style, and flow of content are also incorporated in my duties. Participate in the departmental meetings to assist in developing action items for the GJFC. Manage and coordinate the overall proposal process including developing and managing proposal schedules, assignments, making requests, materials, and proposal production. Further responsibilities include developing templates for proposals in a format consistent with GJFC policy and methodologies. Developing and maintaining databases of responses, resumes, and past performance information of potential donors (philanthropists, corporations, organizations, governments and institutions). Interfaces with functional or subject matter experts, Faculty, Staff and Students, Project Managers, Administrative staff, and corporate executives and various departments to respond to questions and complete proposals in a timely manner. Developing contents for GJFC website and ensuring the cooperation and follow up with IT Serve Unit. Also need to support to the request by the President, Vice President for Development and Resources and the GJFC Director.

After completing my Masters in 2005 I went back to Bangladesh. Before joining as a Proposal Writer & Communication Officer I worked as a Lecturer in two reputed private universities in Bangladesh, namely Eastern University and North South University from October 2007 to May 2008. I used to teach Management Information Systems in both the universities.

I served as IT Consultant in NICC Power Systems Ltd from December 2005 to September 2007. NICC Power Systems Ltd. is the authorized distributor of wiring accessories and circuit protective devices of Multinational Company, ABB. They are also sole distributor of 3K Batteries, Thailand. Recently they are importing UPS. My job was to maintain, support the software and hardware used in the office. And also to promote the new product (UPS). Alongside also worked on Asian Institute of Technology, Alumni Association, Bangladesh Chapter (AITAABD) website, using Macromedia DreamweaverMX, PHP and MySQL.

Just at the end of my Masters Thesis in April 2005 I also worked as an Intern/Sub web administrator with the Web Site Officer in UNESCAP for 6 months. My major works were to assist in site management functions, maintain UNESCAP back-office applications (News, Events) as sub-administrator, FTP uploads and daily synchronization between remote (production) and local (staging & development) web servers, data validation of ESCAP back-end databases in SQL 2000, editing HTML and ASP pages on UNESCAP web site by using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Other functions, Cataloging multi-media assets (digital photo, audio and video files) by using Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash, generate new web site traffic statistics for the past 12 months using Urchin 6 and ANALOG, run site integrity checks (broken links, orphan files) and help fixing error.

I did my Masters thesis in AIT from May 2004 to may 2005, including a special study during the long break in June 2004 – July 2004. The thesis is about e-learning. The purpose of the study was to develop an educational resource that helps in teaching and learning one of key features of object-oriented programming, Polymorphism mechanism in Java and C++. This system uses Learning Object technology that would allow the learners to have interactivity which they can get in a real classroom. In each of the Learning Objects, simple source code examples with explanation and text description is provided. The students can start from any part of the system, depending on his or her basic knowledge in the scope of the system. But it is recommended that the user go through the tutorial sequentially. The system has two main parts, Java Polymorphism Mechanism and C++ Polymorphism Mechanism. In both parts, Flash is used as main mechanism. The friendly application with visualization approach is used for the better understanding of students. Through these flash files, the students can learn by entering some input, learning the step by step source codes and explanations of how polymorphism is handled and finally, can evaluate their level of understanding.

During my Masters thesis I also worked as a student assistant with the Alumni relations Officer in Asian Institute of Technology from June 2004 – December 2004. My key works were Data Entry, Data retrieval/maintenance of AIT Alumni Database which is updated and maintained by the office. I also had the opportunities to learn administrative functions of the office.

I also worked part time as a Software and network Consultant in a private company before my Masters from January 2003 – July 2003. My foremost works were to handle the software used by the company. I also maintained the small network inside the company.

Some personal information about me; my religion is Islam. My nationality is Bangladeshi. I am married.

As I mentioned at the beginning that my current work is with the fundraising department and it has a lot of interaction with the Alumni. I got the website address from our Vice President for Research, AIT. As this is very much related to my current working area and I am also enjoying my new responsibilities, though it is not related with my educational background, but I find it very interesting. To explore my knowledge I would love to be a part of the e-courses and gain and share knowledge with others.
