Despre mine

I am a Student and a social worker. I have a vision of one world's society with equality, justice, love, care and much more. I like reading novel and cycling is the part of my pleasure. As a major in Business I never was interested in Business. I am optimist, proactive and sensitive to the society. I am easily moved by the plight of the poor people, street children and socially discarded people. Constantly I find that there is a vacuum created in me, which is filled when I am involved in social work.
I am other-centered and try to reach out to people as for as I can. Some of the people whom I admire are mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale and Fr. Charlie Law (An American Catholic Priest). I admire their selfless sacrifice. I have strong desire to become a social worker myself. In fact, I dedicated myself as a Volunteer to many social welfare organizations such as SAATHI (organization working for women and street children), Freedom center (a drug rehabilitation center) and Nepal children home (Orphanage home). I am working as a trainer in Navjyoti Centre(Nepal Nazareth Society)(Project of Sister’s of Charity of Nazareth). Recently I am working as a trainer. I am assisting women to understand about Gender Discrimination, Domestic Violence, Human and Child Rights, HIV/AIDS etc. Now I have come to realize that this is what I want to do in the future too. I made a principle “ serving to people is serving to god”. I find a lot of meaning in it. Right now I am still an amateur in the field of social work. I still find myself lacking training, right discommend and technical experience. I seek to find more education that promotes social justice, and to serve delivery that makes difference in the lives of people. I would like to take an active role in the struggle against oppression.
