About Me   About Me
I Have a BSC in Agricultural Economics and a Professional Qualification in Agrochemical usage and their impact on the environment(AVCASA). I am Regional Technical Advisor for the Northen Region of Zambia currently working with both Commercial and Small Scale Farmers.
My main passion is to see fairness in world distribution of wealth through empowerment of poor countries. Forget about the fears of European leaders that if empowered african national leaders who have been branded as dictators will plunder national resources. These worries are unfounded. If these leaders are truly committed to end poverty. I also do not understand why certain people argue that GM is not the way forward in the improvement of poverty striken african nations. I think we have a lot of practical examples to show that africa desperately requires some form of technology that would quickly transform the agricultural industry. It is common knowledge that the ecological balance has been severely distorted thus climatic conditions will no longer be as predictable as in the past. Gone are the years where farming was predictable. Much as we still have a lot of resources for intance in Zambia, a lot of technical advancement in the way we conduct agricultural business is required in order to properly harness these resources. This is why I agree with those who say teach me how to fish rather than giving me the same fish. However, this must be done after total debt cancellation. African nations do not just require financial resources to develop, the'll need a lot of practical technological transfer. People can only know how to build a plane if they participate in building one. You cannot build a rocket by merely reading a production manual. Fortunately the latter is possible in agriculture. This is why I believe the first development step for africa is to build a sustainable agricultural base.
