 About Me |
I have been a classroom and ICT support teacher across Primary and Intermediate Schools in Dublin, Edmonton, Calgary, and now Christchurch.
I also work for the New Zealand Peace Foundation on 'Digital Citizenship' and 'The Virtual Path'. The programmes are designed to educate and inform parents about the importance of not just punitive cyber-policing, but a well-rounded step forward in understanding the way young people consume media. So, I am most interested in the potential of TakingIT Global and its implications for bringing the together people hearing stories, making connections, and building empathy for issues beyond our own digital vanity plates! Let us not be a skipping stone on the Internet. Let's give our students real opportunity to use this medium for constructive and creative ways.
