Hello! I'd like to introduce myself! STUDIES I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. INVOLVMENT IN NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS Currently, I serve as General Secretary for the staff of Peace Child Argentina. Activities include: Consulta Nacional Preparatoria al II Congreso Mundial de la Juventud. - II Congreso Mundial de la Juventud, Marruecos 2003 . (December 2002 - Present) Member of the Professional Council of the Republic of Argentina Environmental Analysts, C.O.P.A.A.R.A. I served as the coordinator for the Projects and Research Subcommittee. (May 2001 - Present) Furthermore, I was a member of Asociación Civil Vientos del Sur. Activities include: Cultural Diversity Workshops, Integrante de la Secretaría Operativa Adjunta de la Mesa de Concertación de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (March 2003 - September 2004) Colaborator for the organization of the Youth and Environment Program, under the auspices of the State Department of Environment and Sustainable Development. Activities include: Administration and institutional strengthening. (February 2002 – December 2002) Associate member of the United Nations Youth of Argentina Organization, OAJNU. Activities include: Integration of all organizational delegations in the country. Integrated Grupo Pampa, a non-profit, technical action group which focuses on political activism for those whom it supports. PERSONAL MOTIVATION To successfully involve the participation of Argentinean youth in the decision-making process and creation of solutions for environmental issues, using Agenda XXI Chapter 25 as the basis among other documents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (spanish) Hola!, quisiera presentarme! Actividades: - Consulta Nacional Preparatoria al II Congreso Mundial de la Juventud. - II Congreso Mundial de la Juventud, Marruecos 2003 . (Diciembre 2002 - Presente) Miembro del Consejo Profesional de Analistas Ambientales de la República Argentina (C.O.P.A.A.R.A) . Coordinador de la Subcomisión Proyectos e Investigación. (Mayo 2001 - Presente) Además fuí miembro de la Asociación Civil Vientos del Sur Actividades: - Talleres de Diversidad Cultural. - Integrante de la Secretaría Operativa Adjunta de la Mesa de Concertación de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Marzo 03 - Septiembre 04) Colaborador en la organización del Programa Ambiente y Juventud de la Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable. Actividades: - Administrativas y de fortalecimiento institucional. (Febrero 2002 - Diciembre 2002) Socio adherente de la Organización Argentina de Jóvenes para las Naciones Unidas. OAJNU Actividades: - Campamento de integración de todas las delegaciones en el país de la organización. - Asistencia a las reuniones de Capacitación del reglamento. - Asesor de la 2da Comisión del III Modelo de Naciones Unidas Universitario de Buenos Aires. (Febrero 2002 - Marzo 2003) Integré el "Grupo Pampa" Es un núcleo de acción técnico – político, sin fines de lucro, de perfil independiente que se vincula a la política a través de los referentes a quiénes apoya. Actividades: - Fiscal de Mesa en las elecciones porteñas del 2000. (Diciembre 1999 - octubre 2001) MOTIVACIÓN PERSONAL Lograr la participación de los Jóvenes argentinos en la toma de decisiones y la creación de soluciones a los problemas ambientales. Basándonos en el Capítulo 25 de la Agenda XXI, entre otros documentos. CALL TO THE REFLECTION These are times to define ourselves, to let the others know how we think and feel without being embarrassed, though without showing off either. These are times to stand for those ideas we believe in, to beat with the world we live in as one, to say no to passive or conformist attitudes. These are times to define ourselves, to behave with rectitude, with transparency and decision: to accomplish our activities without being dramatic or afraid; to give simple but solid testimony, one that will be permanent and well-defined because of its transparency. These are times to be relieving hands, guiding eyes, aiding arms, solving minds. To compromise with the world to change its unfair structures by creating new environments that foster life and mutual love. ALFONSO MILAGRO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LLAMADO A LA REFLEXIÓN Vivimos en tiempos en que es preciso definirse, dar la cara sin actitudes vergonzantes, aunque sin necios alardes. Luchar por defender las ideas en que creemos, palpitar la realidad del mundo en que vivimos, decir que no a las actitudes pasivas o conformistas, a las medias tintas. Definirse, actuar con rectitud y sin dobleces, más bien con transparencia y decisión: cumplir nuestra actividad sin dramatismo, pero sin medios inoperantes; dar un testimonio sencillo por sus maneras, pero firme por su permanencia y definido por su transparencia. Ser las manos que alivian, los ojos que orientan, los brazos que ayudan, las mentes que crean soluciones. Sumergirse en el mundo, para cambiar sus estructuras injustas, creando nuevos ambientes que posibiliten y faciliten la vida del mutuo amor. ALFONSO MILAGRO.
