 About Me |
After growing up in Hamilton and going to York University for 3 years, I transferred to the University of Victoria in 2003 and in 2007 I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
I'm currently teaching English to Kindergarten and Elementary students in Seoul. I've been here since February 2008 and have been enjoying life in Korea (with the added bonus of being able to travel to places like Japan, Thailand and China).
I really only am fluent in English, but I have some language skills in both French and Korean. I'm in the process of starting to learn Swahili for my YCI project.
I'm a semi-serious runner and I've been able to keep it up overseas. I try very hard to keep myself fit both through exercise and a healthy diet, though I do enjoy treats.
I will be volunteering with YCI in Tanzania in the fall of '09. I'm very excited for this opportunity. I've been hard at work planning fund raising activities and hopefully I will be able to raise all of the required funds.
