 About Me |
Michael is a commited youth leader invloved in many youth and students oriented programs all over the world. He brought life and moltivation into the students leadership in 2001 when he rose to the position of the Vice-President of the Students Union Government. Once the Secretary of the Reseach Committe of the National Union of Ghana Students, he displays passion in discussion his views about educating the 'African Child.' One time Reseach Assistant in the university of Ghana, and now Brock University in Canada, he is very analytical of information and very candid in his view. Great sense of humour and grace are first observable qualities when interacting with him.He is member of the africatalks discussion borad, a member of YES Ghana, Youth representative of the Children of the Earth-UN/NGO among others. Currenting researching into the role and place of civil society in Democratization and Economic development in Africa as a thesis for a master degress in Political Science-International Relations and Comparative Politics.He served as the Africa Representative of the Children of the Earth, an NGO affiliated to the UN and was the Youth Coordinate for the Apeadu Peace Center in Ghana between 2002-2003. Mike is noted for his deep concerns about issues relating to social justice, equity and global peace through dialogue. He was a key member of the UNOY committe that organised the West Africa Youth leaders seminar on peace building in Benin in 2002, served as the country director of the West African Peace Caravan in Ghana. Very articulate and simple in speech, he holds his audience spell bound by his arguments and chioce of words. Bewteen 1999-2003, he was a producer presenter of youth development programs on Radio Univers, in the University of Ghana. For a brief period in 2002, he was the Network Administrator of the Young PeaceBuilders Network, YPBN-Ghana;a position that saw him travelling frequenting in the West African Sub-Region. It is Mike's strong conviction that all humans have the potential to make a big difference and bring some smile to the face of the poor, hence the search for social justice.
