 About Me |
I just joined this network and I am pleased to be part of such a group which discuss issues I am directly involve with. I hail from Cameroon, and presently live in London. I am very involved in community development, particularly issues of health and gender. I have been involved in training volunteers and humanitarians on response to crises situation, where basic health practices can be used to control the spread of diseases and infections when crises strike.
I have also been into social marketing for behavioural change for 2 years, where i worked as a peer educator, a pollster and a promoter. My focus was to sensitize the public on HIV/AIDS and the use of preventive measures, those available and the ones newly introduced to the region.(e.g the female condom) I worked with youths, CBOs, stakeholders and other social groups, and it has always been a rewarding expirience.
I am presently untertaking a course in International management and i am looking at the prospects of working as a relief worker whereby i can fully utilise my skills and knowledge for the betterment of mankind.
