About Me |
I was born from Mr & Mrs Mbewe on 08th February 1980 in Kasungu District. This is a district located at about 124KM from the Capital City, Lilongwe, Malawi. Kasungu is situated on a rich agricultural land.Malawian by nationality. I have attended three levels of education by Malawian standard. These are primary, secondary and tertiary respectively. Of importance is that I am currently holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Education awarded to me by University of Malawi on 15th February, 2006 at Zomba. During my college years I have been a member to many youth related organisations, societies and unions. Among these are Poly Technical Education Student organisation where in 2002/03 I served as its president, I was also a General secretary to Youth Motivation Organisation (YMO) and I also served as Civic education Director for Poly Anti-Corruption Society. The post General Secretary in YMO is being served by me at the moment. During my final year dissertation presentation, I presented a paper entitled " Impact of Tobacco Industry on Primary Education in Kasungu South, Malawi. One of the findings was that the tobacco industry has had both positive and negative effects on primary education in the area. These are the industry has provided the area with some educational facilities such as classroom blocks and teachers houses. Conversely, the industry has lead to higher drop out and absenteeism rates.
In my life I have always wanted to share the experiences I have had also help making policies that will benefit both children and the youth at large. I intend to achieve this through teaching asa profession. For it is said, "the future of every nation depends on education of the youth". Definitely I will in process inspire, motivate and get involved in all issues surrounding a youth.
I therefore, look forward to being part of this global grouping.
