My background is formed by different frames that embrace different areas. I studied Biomedical Engineering while I was attending theatre classes. I was always inolved in political and social activities. After I took my master degree I worked into biomedical field first and then in an American consulting firm dealing with Communication Technologies and Public Administration. Right now I work for a UN agency that provides IT services. I spent all last year travelling around working as a Logistic Inventory Management Project focal point for peace keeping missions. I am also very involved in civil society activities, and regularly volunteer with Amnesty International, Italy. I’m Co-founder and Partner of an Observatory Group that deals with Local Development in the Mediterranean Area. When traveling for work or pleasure I always take time to visit community based organizations and meet with local people involved in community development and civil society activities. For instance during my permanence in Monrovia, Liberia, I volunteered to an orphanage led by local people, working on building up children capabilities in the agricultural field; during my visit to Nicaragua I get involved with local artists in order to create liaisons with an artistic residence project settled in the area of Salento, south of Italy; in a recent visit to Tanzania, I spent time with local organizations in and around Arusha studying the rights of marginalized Indigenous Communities and a review of the Wildlife Conservation Act, made by the Tanzanian Government, 1974.
