Selamat hari tuan-tuan dan puan-puan.. Hey there and the warmest hellos from Malaysia! I am 17, and my passion is learning about other cultures and getting proactive about social issues. The plight of the indigenous Penan people in Malaysia is something that I feel strongly about. I have just started a project, the Students for Penan Awareness Program.
In 2008, my team and I were selected by World Vision Malaysia in its Youth4Youth program to travel to West Kalimantan, Indonesia to witness the humanitarian work being done there. I also had the chance to meet the local people and learn about their lives with and without new aid. It was a real eye-opener.
To chill, I like to go hiking and jungle trekking, and mountain biking too (I've crashed 2 bikes before, but they're scrap!). I like listening to music (from anywhere really), playing my piano, and volunteering myself to get useful!
You should come and visit Malaysia because:
-You know you have at least I friend here (me!)
-We have awesome food
-We have a racially diverse demography
-I need an excuse to climb Mount Kinabalu again
-The scenery is quite nice
-Kuala Lumpur is never boring
-We need your help in saving our country!!
