About Me

Murtala holds a degree in Biological Sciences Education, with Second class Upper from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. A young lecturer and the Founder and Executive Director Center for Education and Leadership Development. He has been involved in several youth initiatives, a youth mobilizer and a trainer. Murtala is the National Coordinator of Federation Nigerian Youth Greens www.fonyg.org an affiliate of Global Young Greens www.globalyounggreen.org Professionally, he is an active member of Ecological Society of Nigeria ECSN. And the Coordinator of West African Youth Action on Climate Change [WAYACC] a network of youth organization working on climate change. He presented conference papers on the following sub theme education, environment, peace desertification and leadership. Attended the 7th World social forum in Nairobi Kenya and the founding congress of global young greens in United State International University Roysambus Nairobi Kenya. He is able to adjust to new challenging situation quickly, capable of using a range of computerized record system, good communication skills at all levels He is a member of Working group on NEEDS. Advocating and promoting sustainable development in the area of grassroots community development. During his NYSC one year compulsory National service in Kano state Murtala was trained by UNICEF under UNICEF and NYSC HIV AIDS project as Peer educator and HIV/AIDS Counselor, he love sharing knowledge with others, that is why he organize step down training for selected students and staff of Federal College of Education kano also undertake a lots of community development projects that earn him a Kano State and NYSC Best Corps member award 2004 Batch B. He one of the pioneer member of Democracy Series Participation Learning and Action Youth [DESPLAY] a Young stars foundation project Murtala a native of Lafia LGA of Nasarawa State, always strive for excellence and precision at all time, in all positions and circumstance, attaining professional distinction and proficiency. He is also interested in research and skilled in listening, explaining and consulting.
