About Me

Mohamed Abdi Hussein is the founder; Secretary General of Youth Union of Somalia (YUSOM), an independent, youth-led, youth movement destined to Somali youth aged between 14 to 36 years. Mohamed worked with many CBO's, local/international NGO's in Somalia at different capacities.

He worked with African Rural Advancement Organization (ARAO), a local NGO operationg in south-central Somalia as a Finance/Administration Officer before taking charge as Program Officer with the same organization; where he coordinated several youth projects among others. He later joined World Vision International Somalia Program as a Regional Supply Chain Officer for Bay/Bakol region before retiring to studies and youth activism.

Mohamed brings along a wide knowledge and experience in humanitarian setting gained from years of working in challenging, conflict prone zones. He holds several accreditations on international humanitarian logistics. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in sociology at the University of Nairobi.
