My interests range from filmmaking to physics. I read incessantly, often many books concurrenly -- but not simultaneously ;-) I will be 41 in a few short weeks, yet I still look at the world as if I am 14. Is that good or bad? I was a college drop-in, (attended 4 different colleges) a college drop-out, got married, and had twins (boys) all before I was 26. Parenting gave me focus and clarity and at 28 I attended art school and earned a BFA in media arts. Subsequently, I worked as an interactive designer and producer for a reknown contemporary art center (Walker Art Center, Minneapolis), where I helped develop educational programs using art and technology. Lured by lots of money, I returned to Philadelphia to be a Web producer for a large retail company. A year later, miserable and disillusioned, I entered graduate school for art education and have never looked back. I love the combination of teaching and learning through art. Artists, like good teachers and students, are driven by curiosity and the examination of issues and questions that shape our world.
