About me
I hate the phrase ''I don't care. Someone else will do it''. It really pisses me off. Today, in our society, there are too many people who are careless about global warming or disasters which take place in other countries or even in our own country, Canada. Even if we live in society, we are individuals. It's not by being individuals that we will make a change and save the Earth that we apparently like to destroy. Why do we always use our cars while we know that exhaust fumes damage the atmosphere? The government should finance a project like improving public transport networks. People would stop using their cars if the networks were a lot better that what they are now. People are also afraid to take public transit because of all the stories we hear in the metro. The government should improve the safety by hiring more security guards. That will be a start and a good decision!
Each simple and little gesture can make a change. Everyone can make a difference! On my street, I know neighbors who do not even recycle. I mean come on! We are all responsible for global warming. Our goal is to try to repair our errors to give a better place to the future generations. We have to stop thinking that someone else will take the bottle of water from the garbage, for example, and put it in that recycle box. STOP THINKING AND DO IT! We have to stop pretending we don’t care.
People are also careless about disasters that take place here, in Canada. It looks like people are more touched when the disaster happens in a country very far from Canada. This is also something which bothers me. Why do we care about people far away and not people who are in our country, our town, our street? It is great to care about people who need help in Haiti, but it will be also a good thing to think and help children and families in Montreal who cannot eat because they are too poor. Make of our country the best possible place and then make the Earth a magnificent place.
